While Coursebox AI tools can accelerate the creation of training and assessment materials, it is essential that RTOs adopt a structured and compliant approach when using any AI-generated content. The following practices are recommended to ensure that your materials meet the expectations of ASQA and align with the Standards for RTOs:

Use Coursebox AI outputs as draft content only

Treat all AI-generated materials as a starting point. They should be reviewed and refined to reflect the appropriate depth and complexity required at the unit’s AQF level (e.g., Certificate II vs Diploma).

Undertake a qualified professional review before delivery

Have all content reviewed and validated by suitably qualified staff, such as instructional designers, compliance officers, or trainers and assessors, to confirm alignment with unit requirements and AQF level expectations.

Customise and contextualise each unit

Adapt content to your specific learner cohort, delivery mode, and industry context. Ensure relevance, accuracy, alignment to the latest version of the training package and cognitive demand appropriate to the AQF level.

Maintain clear documentation and mapping evidence

Keep clear records of how each component maps to the unit’s Elements, Performance Criteria, Performance Evidence, Knowledge Evidence, and Assessment Conditions. Include notes on how complexity has been adapted to suit the AQF level.

Seek guidance from qualified professionals where needed

Consult learning and compliance professionals when in doubt—especially when adjusting materials for AQF level suitability, interpretation of training package requirements, or assessment strategies.
